Zaimo is a startup in Tokyo, founded in January 2023. Its main product is Zaimo.ai, an AI agent that helps companies with business planning and financial management (FP&A).
In many companies, business plans and actual figures are spread across many Excel files. Staff spend a lot of time collecting data, comparing plans with actual results and finding the causes of gaps. Often, only the person who made a file can understand and edit it. Since March 2023, Bunbu has handled development, testing and operations of the product for Zaimo.
Zaimo.ai brings financial data and KPIs together in one place. Users only need to import a CSV file of the general ledger, and the system creates a profit and loss statement (P&L) for each department and project. To make a plan, users choose one of more than 100 business model templates, such as SaaS, e-commerce or real estate, and enter a sales target. AI then creates a draft plan. The input screen looks like a spreadsheet but needs no formulas, so staff in each department can update the figures themselves.
In April 2026, Zaimo launched the beta version of Zaimo.ai FP&A, together with an AI feature that builds a financial model from a plain-language description.
