Bunbu has developed fufu+, the official online store of the 157-salon fufu hair color chain, for more than four years
Fast Beauty, Inc. runs fufu, a chain of hair color salons with 157 locations across Japan. According to Fast Beauty, fufu salons serve more than one million customers a year. The company sells professional salon hair care products, including its own THE Series line, through its online store fufu+.
fufu customers usually buy shampoo or treatment after a salon staff member recommends it. The online store therefore needs to know which salon each customer visits and which member rank they hold. Typical e-commerce software does not have this information. It also cannot handle the points, the four member ranks (Diamond, Platinum, Gold, Silver) and the hair color tickets that fufu uses in its salons.
Since August 2022, Bunbu has built the fufu+ store for customers, an admin system for headquarters and salons, and the integration with the salon management system. Customers use a single account for both the salon and the online store. As a result, their points, member rank and coupons work in both places.
On fufu+, customers can buy products, buy hair color tickets in advance, and read articles or watch videos about hair care. Customers can sign up for regular deliveries, and every regular delivery ships free. Customers pay by credit card or pay later at a convenience store. Salon staff can post product recommendations for customers and check sales data for their own salon. Today, Bunbu continues to support daily operations and builds new features as Fast Beauty's needs grow.
